These trips to Nicaragua have made me grow up in many ways. Being independent of my parents has been hard for me. I have felt like in order to feel protected, they always had to be there.

I've discovered that I am more than capable of protecting and taking care of myself and others. I'm older now and more responsible because of my leadership position in B'more Cultured.

I'm excited about the third trip we will be taking in 2008 with new friends to create new experiences. I can't wait to go back to see old friends, to cry, to be happy and to relive the memories we had when we were living together.
