Participants of B'more Cultured meet regularly to collectively plan where, when and what their Nicaraguan experience will be and how we will be able to finance it. Money is the most common concern for our work since most of the participants are full-time students from low-income families or emerging young professionals. We depend on donations and our fundraisers to support the $2000 per individual expense, but more importantly, to build camaraderie within our group. We set goals, talk about what we've learned, and the importance of working alongside one another.
